The USS Sterope AK 96 was the sister ship of the USS Serpens.

These photographs and information has been provided by Walter Biadasz US Coast Guard Sailor and World War II Veteran, who lost many a shipmate in 1945 on the Coast Guard Manned Liberty Ship USS Serpens.
